Today was my first day at home without the peeps, or any meetings or work commitments since the school holidays started almost four weeks ago. It was heavenly. And while spending the day reclining on the sofa was tempting, the house really needed some lovin'. Especially the peeps room. Check out the before shot. Yikes! It all started going horribly wrong three days ago when they turned their room into a shop. It never quite recovered. I'm sure A Current Affair were on their way to do a story on the family living in such a mess.
It will be a pleasure to tuck them in tonight without risking a sprained ankle or a bruised shin. Fingers crossed it will stay that way until bed time.

Wow, I just discovered your blog (by blog hopping I call it). My family and I recently moved to Geeveston and I am very excited to hear and read about the foodies and bloggers in the area. We've just started our veggie patch, have a few brahma chooks and I make a lot of chutney and slices! Moving from Brisbane it's a change in pace and lifestyle. We were in the outer suburbs and used to have chooks so I'm loving having chooks again.

It is such a beautiful room. I can relate very much to the before shot, though. It looks very much like my girls' room, or my loungeroom. Everyday... before I clean it. *sigh* Yes, there is a downside to home education ;)
ReplyDeleteIf only the rooms stayed this clean! We've opted for the one bedroom to sleep in and one bedroom to play in. Our brilliant scheme failed dismally. Now both rooms are messy and require constant attention. Seriously I have better things to do with my time!
ReplyDeleteI first room could belong to the daughter that just finished her 1st year of college! She ended up with a messier(is that possible?) roommate and they get along very well by keeping their messes on their own side of the room!
