Remembering Mae

It's almost a year since our hound went missing.  I still miss that strawberry eating pup.  Not her naughtiness, like stealing birthday cake, or chasing cars or taking up the entire sofa.

But I miss her soft ears. And holding her paw.
And I just miss her being here.

I hope Mabel is happy where ever she is.

  1. Oh, so sad. She is so adorable. I'm sure she is happy, perhaps in a huge strawberry patch somewhere.

  2. Madel is so beautiful. I am so sorry. It's such a cruel thing. Like Holli, perphaps she is in a huge strawberry patch somewhere.

  5. She reminds me so much of my Jolene. That sweet mournful face. What a shame she wondered off. It's something I worry about with my girl. Those beagles certainly earned the reputation as being wanderers, didn't they?

  7. MOTH was so upset when I told him about Miss Mabel last year Michelle. I'll lend you puppy Lulu for a while if that would help, she takes up the whole sofa too.

  8. I am a new follower to your blog, I love your country style and photographs. Poor Mabel! When I was a teenager our terrier went missing, my heart was broken, anyway a year later he walked in through the back door!!! Seriously! A kind elderly lady had taken car of him. I hope Mabel finds her way home...
