Hmm, slow roasted shoulder of lamb sounds pretty good! Would love to come and visit! After the sustainable living expo is good until MoMa starts 15 December.

ReplyDeleteI've just got back from time in the classroom with my son, very soon I will be going back to school to collect my daughter. We will be meeting Grandma for lunch and a girly shoe shopping trip (a belated birthday present) While in town we need to get embroidery thread, return library books and perhaps squeeze a look in an op shop or two. After school, we are meeting my son's friends in the park and then at 5pm going to my daughters friends house for a playdate (read - wine night). I've made pastitsio last night to take along.
Just like you, it is one of those busy but 'oh so fun' kind of busy days.
I'm wondering, if you might just need a couple of more hours in your day:) Good luck with the list.
Your day does sound pretty busy too, but filled with lovely things, especially wine and pastitsio!
DeleteI was going to suggest I buy you a drink before I go home tomorrow arvo but after reading this list, I reckon I've got buckley's! It's been lovely being in gorgeous Hobart again.

ReplyDeleteToday I am enjoying some quiet on my own while the boys play floorball. I am counting down the days until my hubby returns home after 4 looooooong weeks away working. I am trying to decide on whether I should sew up some cushions ( a la Meet Me at Mikes style) or continue with my crochet that has been severly neglected. I am contemplating making soup as the weather has turned cold ( again), while also thinking that I should bake some cookies. I probably wont get much of anything done but that is Ok too- that's what some weekends are for right?!

ReplyDeleteHi Clare - thank you for reading! The cheese and sausages were for our school fair - and the school kitchen has a commercial fridge where I stored it. I transported it in big borrowed eskies with ice blocks to keep it cool in transit. It sure wouldn't fit in our fridge!
