Despite the less than ideal weather, there was plenty to keep spirits high. Adventures by the river, fishing, building little boats with bark, chocolate, coffee, campfires and plenty of good things to eat. Like chipolatas, Pigeon Whole bread and Jacinta's baked beans for dinner.
But breakfast was the best. I think I actually only go camping to eat egg and bacon rolls and drink coffee in the morning around the campfire.
Fingers crossed we can get one more camping trip before it gets too cold.
Hope you had an eggcellent Easter Break too.
There is something special about Easter camping isn't there Michelle? Delicious photos as always! I agree...breakfast is the best part of camping, we did the same :)
ReplyDeleteSounds like a lovely camping trip. The breakfast sounds ideal. and always best when cooked over a campfire.

With snow still lingering in sheltered areas and a sharp frost each night, an Easter camping trip is but a dream for us. It all looks wonderful.
ReplyDeleteIt never fails, whenever we camp the rain always falls. I love it just the same except when the tent leaks...then I get a little cranky. :) But there's something about cooking over the fire that makes the food so much better.
ReplyDeleteSounds like your Easter adventure was delightfully perfect!
I really enjoy your blog and have to tell you that I've seen your kitchen before and fell in love with it. in love.... Then when I found your blog last week and was reading through your older posts, I saw it was the same kitchen!
Must have been fate that I found you. anyways, I've really enjoyed reading and following along.
Sarah

we so adore camping too & i love seeing your posts on them. do you have a blog post on your camping essentials? I would love to know what you make, bring, recipes, camping gear, skillets, stoves, the love and the kiddoes that go into your trips. if you don't have one perhaps it could be a future blog post? I would love to see/read it! Happy Autumn. xo
ReplyDeleteHi Rebecca - great idea! I shall start thinking about a list.
ReplyDeleteHappy Spring to you! x
I adore your first photo. We stayed at a family farm over easter and loved it. Especially the clouds and one foggy morning! I also enjoyed watching my cousin make sausages which has inspired me to try it myself soon using my inlaws' mincer/sausage machine.
ReplyDeleteI love your photos, looks like bliss, I just want to jump into the photos most of the time!
ReplyDeleteSounds & looks like a great time. I bet the kids loved every minute of it. You've got me thinking of giving camping another go in our soon approaching School Holidays. Happy Easter.
